So I met this guy at a job interview (it was a group interview, don't worry he wasn't hiring me!) and since then we've been on two dates (thus the name).
The first one was a drink in a pub in Covent Garden where we talked for hours and ended up going to cheaper pubs because our cash was running out. We had a good giggle, got a little merry and had a lovely kiss on the top deck of the 176 bus to Penge.
The second date was today, it was supposed to be a roast lunch at this lovely little pub but I had a hectic working weekend and he had a heavy drinking weekend. We postponed it till later on and ended up going to this nice chilled out pub and doing the pub quiz (we didn't win but we got Smarties) and then onto McDonalds (yes... I know) just talking loads.
So for our third date he's suggested we meet up with a couple of friends and go out. I'm not sure if this is a date date but it seemed it. Does this seem like a good idea? We've talked loads and have kissed and stuff. I reckon our mates would get on etc but is it a bit too soon? I'm still new to this whole "datey" thing and unsure what the best step to take is.

I don't think its a bad idea to get your mates together. It may be informative to see how he inetracts within a group. Does he want to be the centre of attention? Does he clam up and sit quietly in the corner? Is he funny? Is he gracious? etc etc You may get a better inkling of the kind of man he is because after a few drinks, many people often drop their guard when they are with a group of their friends. He sounds cool though.
I have to say I agree, it sounds like a good idea and you're right about seeing how he interacts. I think I've got him pegged already but I'd like to confirm it, if anything.
As for being made entirely of Cadbury's Creme eggs... mmmmm creme eggs.....

My 3rd date we went to the works fireworks night, he met my friends and I met his sister and brother-in-law...meeting his parents next weekend and going away together the weekend after...I don't think meeting friends on a 3rd date is moving too quickly at all
Haha, as much as I'd like to... I'm a firm believer in taking things slow. So maybe the 4th date? Though if we're meeting our mates... that might a make a VERY interesting 3rd date

We met with our friends, had some bevvies and chatted. His mates are sooo funny and he liked mine too, which was really important. Then we ended up staying at the Casino for nearly 10 hours just him and I drinking cocktails. We didn't gamble or anything we just sat trying to work out who were arms dealers and who were hookers. Talked for hours and when we finally left (at 7:30am) it was snowing outside! Such a good night. Then when we got home he rang me and we chatted for another like... 2 hours? Ahhhhh, sooo happy
