Firewall & Antivirus software?

I know it's got a built in firewall - But what about anti virus?

Just wondering seeing as I as googling and happened to go to a doggy website that wouldn't let me close safari for awhile :(

    Yes, because while the OS design is inherently safer, it isn't idiot proof.

    Of course, you have to watch out for your anti-virus software being a route for compromise (looking at nobody, Norton)

    you are never 100% safe.

    It's your choice, but there is an incredibly lesser chance of getting a virus on a Mac at this present time.
