I read in the back of the Mirror today about this frankly awesome new toy:

For 30 quid and with about 20 preloaded games that is the most awesome retrohead toy i've seen for years!

Anyone remember the Game Gears and the price they were when they came out? I am so happy about this new thing i wee'd a little.

    The Game Gear was well ahead of its time, but the price eventually cost Sega dearly in the Sega vs Nintendo console wars. It took until Gameboy Colour... nope... Gameboy Advance to prove a match because the Advance was colour and had a backlit screen, something that the long-dead Game Gear has offered for a few years.

    I will not find a console that was more influential to me than the Sega Megadrive.
