I am just starting out on jewellery making. I have seen lots of websites where you can get nice beads/items, but I am looking for a website or store where I can buy more individual items. Any ideas?

    jewellery items

    I don't make jewellery myself but a friend of mine buys old costume jewellery cheaply from charity shops, takes it apart, and reuses the beads and things from it. I suppose you could even get hold of broken jewellery for this but I don't know where from.

    Try Etsy, you can get handmade beads on there so likely to be more individual than other places.

    Raiding charity shops has often served me well.

    Pick up random stuff, take it apart and then use bits from it for other things.

    There's a great bead shop on 7 Dials in Covent Garden but I don't remember what it's called - probably a bit pricy, too.

    I love Etsy! I sell my items on there.

    I have just started buying from there, ebay, craft fairs and random sites.
