Been on Fluoxetine tablets for nearly two weeks now and just wondering if anybody could tell me if they interact/stop the pill from working, i'm on the mini pill, asked my doctor but she was unsure!

Any help will be great! x

That's a worry if your doctor doesn't know. I don't think they do, but I'm not really sure either as it's not something I've had to worry about!

Ask your pharmacist, they should be able to tell you.

I've taken fluoxetine whilst on the pill and there was no interaction but I don't know about the mini-pill. You culd phone NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 and ask them, they can look it up for you. Or ask a pharmacist.

Pharmacist would be far and away the best person to ask, they are whizzes when it comes to drug interactions.

And didn't know how to find out. MIMS and/or the practice computer should have been able to tell her.

Fluox doesn't interact with the pill. I don't think any SSRI's do.
