Alcohol and sickness...

This will probably sound really stupid but how come too much alcohol can make some individuals sick and yet others can stomach loads?!

    Not that I'm any kind of expert, but I suppose it's the same as why some people can tolerate cold/heat more than others or can eat a lot more without feeling full. Mainly genetics.

    Some people are sick all the time, and other people just aren't, so it extends to drinking too.

    You're sick because your body is poisoned, to a lesser or greater extent.

    Basically your body can't cope so it throws up what it can before too much gets into your blood and therefore alcohol poisioning.

    It all depends on how delicate your stomach is aswel. I get sick quite often because i have problems with my stomach where as some of my friends could drink more and not get sick because they dont have the same stomach problem as me

    Not sure about this, think tolerance (i.e. getting used to alcohol) may have more to do with it. Some heavy drinkers are actually underweight.

    i only have to have a couple of bottles/drinks and i vomit

    i dont feel sick...or drunk, i just need to be sick

    and the day after i suffer terrible too, even if i've had hardly anything!

    the body is a weird and wonderful thing alright!

    because alcohol is basically a poison
