Mac OS X - Creating a codec dump?

Theres bound to be some Mac OS X fan boys out there - I'm needing some of your help!!

I need to create a "codec dump" for my audio device so I can find the right drivers for it :)

Just though i'd let you know that I got mac os x (leopard) on my laptop dual boot with vista - yay me?

    not entirely sure. you're probably best posting on a forum such as osx86 or hackint0sh, as they have pretty massive communities of people doing this sorta thing. Is the sound card on the hardware compatibility list? how are you liking os x so far? I can give you some setup tips over msn if you like?

    Its rather cool, Found out my wireless card is not supported.... Yet :)

    People are making drivers which is really cool! Not sure about my GFX card, but Im using it on the best res. so you know.

    I've just downloaded ilife and about to install! Woo me

    Regards the dump file, I read somewhere that I have to open terminal and type ioreg something and it creates the file on your desktop.

    Tryed this and used it the file in this program and its like "not found" But I know my drivers are out there!

    My audio device is a Sigmtel 92XX <-- XX? Not sure what that means.

    P.S How can I check the devices on my mac?

    To check devices to to system profiler. dont know much about the rest, my hackintosh was built from scratch to support os x 100%
