    music is what makes life liveable. it helps us remember the good times and the bad times. it allows us to speak our minds when we can't. it takes us away and gives our minds new places to do. it's something most of us, just like you jed, can't live without.

    My friends are always surprised to learn that music isn't my life. Because I'm in a 'scene' that is 100% based around music, that means most people are obsessed with it, that's all they really care about. I like the music a lot, but I'm more interested in politics and activism.

    So what about bringing back memories, as Fran Healy wrote in Slide Show?

    Personally, I kind of agree with Jed. Music is my memories, my hopes, my fears. It can help my mood and change them. A single song can have such an impact.

    Wouldn't say it IS my life, just my choice of music REFLECTS my life.

    Music is my life. It takes up so much of my time my gf gets jealous. Half my mates are quality DJ's and music is everything to them as well. To me it's been a way of life since I was about 14. Working all week, just counting down the days till friday. Then off to an event for one of the numerous best nights of my life. It never gets boring. Hardcore which is my style of preference is all about inducing emotion. I agree that music can change you're mood. If it didn't why would we listen to it.
