Stopping smoking and anger

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I quit smoking on Wednesday (had my last cig Tuesday night) and in the past few days have been really irritable and aggressive at times, at the smallest things.

I don't know if this is the zyban, or nicotine withdrawal. The previous attempts I used nicotine replacement therapy...

So I was wondering for any advice and from other experiences... How long will this anger last?

I feel really shit, my mood has dipped, I am irritable... Is this normal?

When I gave up smoking I was a right grumpy bitch! Are you going cold turkey or using NRT? It might be worth using patches/gum or whatnot just for a few weeks to help with the cravings and general irritablity.

I felt pants (grumpy, depressed, just generally like an evil possessed woman!) for a few weeks, and I was using NRT.

Keep at it though because the positives are great!
