Emo/trendy appearance

Someone's having a party with an emo/trendy theme this Saturday (and I just found out!).
There's a store nearby that might have an emo wig, I'll go look tomorrow. But in case I can't find one, or in addition to it, what else can I do to look emo?
I thought of asking my mum to help with eye shadow, but first she'd be creeped out and second I don't want to mess with this kind of thing unless it's really easy to remove...
What do I do for a trendy look?

    Everyones ideas of trendy is different, so I'd stick to emo.

    All you need is a black tshirt and black jeans, preferably skinny. Converse if you have them. Shitty flat black haircut too, with the fringe across the eyes. Maybe some black gummy bangles that cost about £1 in the UK.

    I'd steer clear of things like My Chemical Romance tshirts or £15 eyeliner - you don't need to look what emo's class as good. Bearing in mind to look 'trendy', you'll need to spend a few hundred.

    Plaster your hair down with as much gel as you can get. Make it look really gross and greasy. Wear black lipstick if you can find it. Oh, and rip your shirt, so that it's slightly frayed around the edges. And, most importantly, make yourself look like a panda--or draw tears on your face--with eyeliner.

    I'm not sure if you meant to or not, but you've got the emo face spot on ;)

    Deffo get some eyeliner on the go aswell, basically the weirder you look the better.

    you could give it a bit of a trim cause it's a bit long. make it go diagonal across one eye.

    Er, no. Don't do this. I don't think I've ever seen an emo wear lipstick, let alone black.

    Also, you gotta shave. Since you're wearing glasses, go with black thick rimmed ones (think old skool NHS/Gordon Freeman style) if you can find them.
