Hi girls,

Quick question about smear tests - can you have sex shortly before them?! I did this morning and have my test tomorrow morning, and am a bit worried that there might still be semen 'up there' (sorry to be graphic!) that might interfere with the test results.

It'll be so embarrassing if that happens :o

Anyone know the answer?

    It shouldn't matter too much, especially if your Doctor's is using LBC (Liquid Based Cytology - new form of smear)... the only thing I would say is if you get a letter asking you to go for a repeat, don't panic - but that goes for everyone! :)
