Beginning the pill - just a quick question.

I've just started a combined pill, given to me by the local nurse. 'Microgynen' is the pill I'm on, and the nurse told me to take it on the first day of my next period - which I have done so.

What is confusing me is that, when I finish this pack of pills in 15 days, will I have another period? Surely that's only a 21 day cycle?? My 'old' cycle was always 34 days, so I'm still getting my head around this.

Also, do any of you ladies have any experience of side affects with Microgynen: nausea, mood swings, that kind of thing?

    its a 28 day cycle cause your on the pill for 21 day then another 7 days break which is 28 days

    edit: its just the first month where you have a 21 days cycle but then i evens out to 28 days
