    lol?!

find someone who is wearing some nice silk gloves, chop off their hand and then stick it on your head. voila!

If you can get a similar glove, put some sort of wire in it to mould into place and then stuff it with something (old tights/cuddly toy stuffing?) and you'd then need a way to secure it to your head.

Or find a fashion student and ask them to make one for you.

That might work and would make it pretty stiff. I just dont know how you would get it the right shape. Would it not be too heavy though?

My sister has a plaster of paris hand somewhere that she made, and I'm sure it's not heavy, as it's just a shell. I presume it's not something that you would wear for long periods of time.

Obv fabric on its own is not going to be stiff enough, but papier mache might be a bit fragile? I can see people wanting to touch it!

But yeah, a glove stuffed and wired might do the trick.

you dont want something too heavy, so the first thing that came to my mind was wax, but that would break.

Maybe find a plastic hand in that position, attach clips to the plastic hand and then put a glove over it...making small slits where the clips would come through the gloves.

Now i know why i gave up art....im useless!

Maybe you could get a fabric glove and stiffen it with something like spray starch? Not sure it would be sturdy enough, but may be worth a try.

Would soaking/covering in PVC glue not have the same effect as spray starch? Or even clear nail varnish or something..

no not really, starch spray doesn't make it shiny and it would be far more fragile with pva or nail varnish
