does anyone else have it?

do you get a lot of stick for having the coloured glasses...i'm worried i might when i get mine done...or do they just look like a fashion accessory?

    I think I may have it, but am yet to be diagnosed or even know how to be tested for it lol.

    i used to work with someone who had a red and green lenses in his glasses. Nobdy gave him stick for it, he just said they helped him to see things more clearly and it was kinda funky.i guess a lot of people probably looked twice because you dont usually see them.

    never heard of it. If I saw somone I knew with different coloured lenses in, I might ask them why, but only out of curiosity, notderision.

    Girl in my class at school had tinted lenses (which is I guess what you are on about), seem to remember hers were a pinky colour. Even at school, most people thought they were a fashion accessory and she didn't get teased for them.

    Be warned if you dye your hair though, can look mighty odd if you pick a colour for your hair that clashes!

    You'll probably have people who ask why you're wearinf coloured glasses, but that's normally just out of curiosity and that'll be it. TBH, many people probably wouldn't take that much notice of it.

    well i use pink filters atm, and i might have rose tinted glasses so they might clash a bit...:(

    bloody expencive though, nearly £300

    Low income and you might like to try to see if you can get your PCT to pay for them. I've paid for a few pairs in the past.

    My niece has some. Her friends see them as "cool" becuase they aren't like "normal" glasses and more like shades.

    nope, they won't college are meant to pay for them aparently, but if they do or not is another story...

    i live in a cash strapped london borough, they won't even give me physio for my dyspraxia and dodgy shoulder

    They won't, or they don't think that it will benefit you?

    Won't is a different issue and one of disability discrimination (e.g. they will give it to you for sports injury but not for natural problems) and if you utter those two words they will panic ;)

    If it's that they don't think it will benefit you then they are saving your time, their time and money.

    NB Why should college pay for something resulting from a medical condition? Education department, social services I can understand...

    because it aparently only effects my educational life...

    so i don't use my eyes outside of college? and it wasn't diagnosed by a doctor, but a specialist teacher

    But that means if your stuff is paid for, then they'd have to do that for everyone with problems like yours...
