    To be fair it's a high pressure situation - although things look so well composed infront of the camera you have no idea how rushed people were behind the scenes.

    And some people are more visual and prefer to see things written down for them to understand them.

    I think it wouldn't have done any harm if the contestants were shown the question they were going to be asked 10 minutes before they went on. Not enough time to have anyone help you prepare an answer but long enough to understand what's being asked.

    I watched this live. I was so embarrassed for her that I actually hid under my covers and covered my ears as well. I don't know how she ended up so off topic!

    The girl who went after her and won Miss Teen USA had the question "who do you prefer: Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, or Nicole Richie?" :rolleyes:
