Home Work & Volunteering
We've started our first discussion for our Christmas campaign which is focusing on religion or cultural beliefs that help you when you're feeling down. Some of the responses will be used anonymously on social media as a video. If you'd like to take part, head over to this thread.

Why has the number of people wanting to volunteer going down?, the Aberystwyth branch of the Samaritans is 50% down on listening volunteers, yet the rate of calls from people in distress is running at 13,000 a year at our branch.
In case no-one knows where Aberystwyth is it's on the mid-west coast of Wales.
If there is anyone out there living within distance of a Samaritan branch, the phone number is in the phone directory. For more information go to the ABERYSTWYTH WEB_PAGE:- http://hometown.aol.com/gwionjones/myhomepage/club.html

Be happy and help others

I was once a Samaritan, about 10 years ago. Did it for six months then had to leave cause I could not handle the pressure! Don't know how you guys do it, but thank god you do!
