Showing losses around the world of 2 - 3% yesterday, the Dow looks set for another loss of almost 3% today,
Not sure what to comment on this with really, just thought some people might have some interesting points, and it would make a change from some of the same old topics that are getting repeated.
Do you think this is the start of a downwards spiral that will see the world markets tumble?
Is it a mere correction of previously over priced stocks?
Is it all Americans fault? We all know that if Wall street was to crash, the rest of the worlds markets would follow, but it was thought that even though the American market was heading for a slump, it would be mild enough for the rest of the markets to minimise the effect.
Or is this nothing more than a few days bad trading which will be forgotten in a few days time?

However, the US housing market is a cause for concern.
Surely a combination of these factors puts everything on a knife edge?
Everybody already feeling twitchy about it all, just waiting for a down turn.
A few bits of bad news start floating about.
Some people start moving money away from stocks in to bonds making it appear like the markets are slipping away, which would surely make people start to think that this "crash" was starting, so they would then do the same and sell their stocks and invest in bonds etc...
Still yep, so far it all seems like alot of fuss about nothing, all the days losses that were shown up to about noon appeared to have bounced back, obviously and if it wasn't for yesterdays sharp losses, things would appear to be ticking along nicely
