Embarrasing jobs

Ok I got severe money problems and need a job quick. Unfortunately all the good jobs seem taken.
Mosta the ppl I know have kick ass jobs or r dealers, or just get money otherways <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">.
I dont really want any part in that shit n e more... but they're still my m8s, they'd piss themselves laughgin if I got a job in a supermarket or summing n rip it outta me.
I'm kinda gettin forced into it now, but theyre all telling me not too do it, cos the groups kinda got a rep to hold up, they dont seem to see why i just doint start dealing or robbing again.
Dunno what to do.

It's good that you don't want to be part of it anymore. You can do something with your life daze.
Does it matter what they say? Who gives a shit about the 'rep'? Usually only the people who are in it in my opinion - this is said with hindsight by the way.
    If You get a job you are going to be the one without any criminal convictions and you'll have money in your pocket, which is more than they'll have. Plus which, people with kick ass jobs have usually worked hard through study to get where they are and sometimes have had to take supermarket jobs on to supplement themselves. You should think of yourself more and not your mates daze. Have you thought of joining a recruitment agency, they have personal and industrial sections and the work you would do would be quite varied.. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

Is it worth trying to go through the system?

If you're prepared to sign onto training schemes and work reasonably hard I think you can actually get paid ok nowadays, and I know there's quite a few schemes where you can go and try some work without risking losing benefits and stuff if you quit (well there are around here near Coventry anyway).

It's all this New Deal shit... but it does seem to work for a lot of people - youth unemployement levels actually have dropped by 250000 in the last 3 years.

Go and see if you can find some info about what's available. Don't know what area you're from, but if it's inner city there's often extra cash put into those kinds of schemes to help people into work in those areas.

    HTH.

P.S. Would try and find some info online for you, but I have to leave and get train @ 07:00 tomorrow (today) morning and am away for weekend till Sunday evening. good luck.

Daze, I thought u were still studying.

Anyway, here is some very encouraging news for u...

U know how my brother moved down from derby to reading to look for work, well he found a job within 4 days and started work on Monday.

Its a permanent full-time office job on a salary with paid holidays and there is shit loads of this sorta thing around in Reading.

The job center is rammed with this stuff.

If u r still at college and want to work part time there are also loadsa part time positions in offices and at the Oracle.

Go down Adelphi House Job Center on Friar Street in town and don't worry too much about experience and qualifications.

If u want help with your CV just give me a shout. U know where I am.
