Emails From Banks

I've never used Halifax bank but am getting emails from them asking me to log in (I think) and was wondering if anyone knew why?
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

There are a lot of email scams around phishing for peoples bank details. This sounds like one of them - I got a similar email months ago from "Barclays" when I've never held a Barclays account.

    Just ignore it.

I got one of those emails from Barclays and I dont bank with them either.

I just deleted it without opening. I would do the same if i wasnt sure.

I recently got one from egg card and one from loyds tsb, when i've only ever banked/had credit card with nationwide.
I emailed egg and they were very helpfull and said there was a lot of it going around at the minute and to foward the email to their support section thing, they said just delete any future messages you might get.

They are scams. If you've never banked with that company then delete them. I got ones from an American bank on and off for about six months last year.
