Clueless !!

I have to pick my A-Level subjects immediately and i have no idea what to do. I need 2 pick at least 3 now and the fourth in september.

I will probably do maths as its my strong subject (has anyone done further maths @ A-level as my teacher has sugested i should consider it) & I.T. but im unsure what 2 do for the third option.

Im considering,
Biology, Chemistry, Geography, RE, or accounts which i didn't do for gcse but wish i had (so it would probably be a lot of work!).
Has anyone did / or is doing any of these, plz tell me what you think of them.

any suggestions on careers based around maths an stuff as im totally clueless as 2 what i wanna do 4 the rest of my life!

thanx in advance for any help.

i do biology, chemistry AND geography!

okay my views here might be slightly clouded by my dislike of chem and geog teachers, and the very late coursework for chem and geog causing me stress too (relieving it by putting it off longer and coming on here.. yes thats meant to be sarcastic before you say anything turtle.)

biology = i enjoy this the best and although theres a lot of stuff in it thats harder than you might expect, if you're interested in the human body and stuff like plants and enjoy this as a subject then its worth doing.

chemistry = some parts enjoyable, probably easier if you're good at maths, which you clearly are if you're considering further maths. calculation things are boring IMHO.. but i enjoy the theory. oh and its hard! especially all the stuff about the different electron shells, NOT what youve been taught at GCSE *shudder*

geography = i hated the module we did on ecosystems and wilderness regions, however i didnt find it that difficult, due to its tie ins with biology. boring tho. i enjoy the physical geog better, stuff like rivers and coasts and natural hazards and stuff, but find about half of the human geog boring, the industrial side of it which is based on economics and politics and partly history as well. this has more work to do, you have to learn lots of case studies and details, as well as the theory.

in chemistry its just the theory you have to learn, and some things like reactions and conditions you just have to memorise.

apart from the memorising of theory or facts, its basically just understanding that forms most of these subjects.

of course, what you or other people think of these subjects is gonna be different, depending on what sort of person you are and what you enjoy or find interesting.

what do you want to do? either in life, or at uni? if you have a particular uni course in mind, or profession, then go and have a chat with a careers advisor and see which A levels you need to take, or which would be most helpful to you.

generally i think, if youve no idea what you want to do (me) then choose the subjects that you're good at and enjoy the most, and hopefully will lead on to something in the future.

ive done 500 extra words on my geog.. sadly to a section i thought id already done. i seriously have to finish this by tomorrow, the guy has to mark it and send it off, if he even DOES mark it, he might just refuse coz its so late

i cant even go to school until the chem's done my teacher will not let me have another day to do it, i have no choice the geog must be done whether im in school or not, ill get my mum to take it to his house when im done when she takes my bro to school (she doesnt wanna face him and try and explain why its so late lol).. ill probably still be up printing out the last page at 9am

That's really weird [considering the size of the place!!] I live in Exeter now [which is still fairly close]. We have some land in st breward so I have to go there quite a lot [oh yey]. I have a friend at cardiff, she really likes it [only, she's doing a year abroad at the moment!] Ahh the internet it weird [goes off to work out the chances of someone ever knowing where st breward IS]

In St Breward? Really? That's so weird! It's like this place where everyone knows everyone and stuff [ie. my parents know just about everyone there]

damnit i just made a post but i got cut off and its gone.

cant remember it now anyway. something about expressing surprise at turtle, agreeing with freya about it being a small world and my friend in the hamlet in st breward being 12 miles away from our school.

    or something.
