My boyfriend told me before we started going out, he had never smoked cigaretts or did any drugs...well against my will i've been around smoking my whole life since both my parents smoke, and i got hooked, ive been around drugs but never done them and my b/f said he would never do any of that...i respected that choice completely, which confuses me kauz this weekend he went over a friends house, one of his friend i don't like, and he smoked a bowl!!! I was mad at him for ruining his life and breaking his goal to him self never to do that should i be mad at him since we really love each other and i'm 99.9% sure we're gonna be together forever. he swears he won't eveer do it again do i believe him??? HELP!

Sorry but i dont think he has ruined his life off 1 hit off a bowl lol!
If ur around him i doubt he will do it again, but hes had a taste for it now. If he enjoyed it then i think he will do it again, will it ruin his life......in 2 words: very unlikely.
It is disappointing when someone says they wont do something and then they go out and do it, but sometimes peoples curiousity gets the better of them and they just wanna see what its like. Its ok to be mad at him for it but i wudnt hold it against him and be mad at him for a long time.
A persons view on drugs totally changes once u take them. U realise how harmless they are and all the bad stories u hear about them are just extremely rare
If he's like he is because his parents have maintained a 'shock tactic' anti-drug stance then I recon he's not as well equipped as you are to resist falling into massive addiction.
You have been around drugs and stuff so probably have a more mature attitude than he. I suspect after years of being told how bad they are he's very vunerable to trying out lots of stuff as soon as he's able.
If you are going to worry about it, worry about yourself and don't start over indulging just to keep him company.
