Some advice needed please.......quite important

I was recently on an american message board about pills. There was a thread about the price of pills.

These guys are paying mad prices across there ($15-$30). I added a post saying what we pay - unsurprisingly the board was very impressed! <IMG SRC="cool.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

The next day i recieved an e-mail from a guy in chicago i think it was, wanting to buy pills. After a few e-mails, i agreed to send him 15 if he sent me the money first ($120 is what he offered!!! <IMG SRC="eek.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> ) and he was well up for this.

I gave him my add, and he replied saying he sent the cash out on sunday.

But recently ive been thinking - is this not a bit too dodgy? i mean its a good profit, but what if they got caught by US mail? obviously i wouldnt include my return address, but how seriously would the authorities take this accross there?

would they simply seize the pills and tell the guy if he collects them he'll get done, or will they go see him and question him trying to find out who i am? <IMG SRC="confused.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I was thinking about hiding them inside a black cassete tape (screwed together) in a jiffy bag - making it look as if its come from a music company.

Think I should go ahead with it - or send him his money back?

I can quote a couple of his e-mails if you wish.

I think you have to be sure with him he won't hand over your address should he get caught <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

They will certainly arrest him should they find them (which is unlikely)

All mail going into the USA will be subject to careful checks after september 11th, but they've no idea who sent them, it really depends if he's willing to take all the blame.

Its a risk I wouldn't be willing to take.

Of course, if you post them in a place outside your postal zone, make sure all e mail's are deleted by both sides, you get somebody else to write the address, delete both e mail address's - then you could deny all knowledge if worst comes to worst, I suspect the americans have better things to do with their time and money that send people over here, prove it was you, arrest you, have you taken back to america via the courts and then deal with you that side <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

If its your word against his, then they have no case <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> Just delete all evidence you have.

Thing is, he'll have the e-mail from me saying that ill send them and with my address on it, would this not be proof that i sent them?

Would he definately get arrested, even if he denies all knowlege?

any more opinions?

I agree with EB... his word against yours should he get caught.. but if I were you I would have opened a p.o. box account under a ficticious name ensuring that any trail cannot be led back to you. I think you'll probably get away with it first time, if you are careful about the packaging but for future reference I would e-mail this guy and tell him you have moved address and then go about getting a p.o. box number.

OK, getting out of the deal is the thing to do.
Talking to stangers on message boards or chat rooms, i reckon its 50 -50 that your talking with a "normal person" or talking to a FBI agent looking for peadophiles, terrorists, subversives, free-thinkers and other types deemed undesirable.

Serious note : If you openly emailed your address to this guy your address could be traced easily without having to contact him. Use PGP (a good version) to be safe in the future. (end serious note)

Then again, now the american war agaist drugs has turned into a war agaisnt terrorism you may be safe. Interesting to note that more american innocent civillians (as in : not commiting ANY CRIME) have been killed in the war against drugs than have been killed in the war against terror, considering that the war against terror cannot really have begun until sept/12.

I'm not paranoid, i'm just more aware.

even though ive given him my address to send money, they couldnt do anything until i sent him the pills could he? (if he was indeed FBI etc).

Any tips how i could suss out if he is a member of the law (cos if he was i could bump his money hehe <IMG SRC="tongue.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> )

i think u should keep doing it, its a good way to make money. i know someone who does the same thing to austrialia from southampton
for years and never got caught. however make sure that u are careful and always hide it well and dont send to many at once because the authorities will take it seriously then. keep doing it though

I think you'd be ok, although as pills are class A - penalty would be nasty. I think you should try and suss out the guy a bit first, ask him about clubbing experiences and the effects and come down of a pill etc. But when it comes to the delivery, post well outside your region.

How fucking dangerous can it be you have the fucking money send the shit and give a fake return address ,,,,,where are they gonna come look for you

The only thing thats gonna get you caught directly is the email you sent him with the address, the only problem is though, you can't be sure if he's deleted it!!! They could also check your email address...go to the profile page and find your home address, if you've put it on.

I think your risking it quite a bit...someone said somewhere, that they only check about 10% of all mail going in, that seems quite a high percentage if your sending pills through the post...I wouldn't risk it, but its up to u! <IMG SRC="confused.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
