Hello, im new to this site and have been looking through previous threads.
I think you all should have a good think about what you are doing by poisining your bodies with dangerous drugs.
Taking drugs like ecstacy is not only immoral but very dangerous and WILL give you mental health problems in later life.
If you were to lead proper lives i.e go out for the odd drink, then you would feel alot better. Put faith in the lord, get a good job, get a girlfriend, have a proper dug free life!
and this stuff about cannabis not being a gateway drug is absolute rubbish - of course it is!!!! Anyone willing to try hash is no doubt going to experement with other things. Not only that, but most dealers who you buy weed from will no doubt have other things which they will let you try.
Just please think about what your doing

We both have good jobs.. I have faith in God (my man's faith is in me <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> ).. We have a beautiful 2 year old son and have a great lifestyle. We have the odd drink and while I, in my child free days, did quite a lot of pills, coke, speed and the very occasional tab, he has never tried any other kind of drug apart from alcohol so Billy Ray the Preachers Son fuck off and tell it to someone who cares...

And out of interest, are you coming from the perspective of ever having done them or been in close contact with them or are you making judgements based on assumption and hearsay.
I don't think any of you have the experiance to argue with me when i say any drug (maybe the occasional joint is acceptable) will definatly fuck you up over time. Youve only got one life, why wasdte it away by taking drugs which give you a false feeling of happiness, eventually getting permanent brain problems!
It seems so silly to me, when you can put your faith in the lord and open your eyes to the real world.

On the contrary my friend, I think you'll find that at least some if not the majority of the people in this forum are well-informed and safety-aware.
From my own POV I've seen some of my friends disappear down the mental health road to hell, not entirely caused by, but very much contributed to by various drugs.
What strikes me is that some people (like yourself) move from e's to crack to heroin as a progression, in a very classical "gateway theory" way. Others (like myself) have tried both crack and heroin and will never, ever touch them again. There seems to be some disparity here.
What would be good to know (if you're willing to relate it) is how and why you made this progression, as it is something I have never been able to understand. Do you think there is a particular type of person/personality who is prone to this?? I am willing to confess I have no idea why I should be fortunate to look on heroin with nothing but disgust.
As for your comments about the Lord, are you not simply replacing one pointless life-crutch with another??

I do pills and weed and can say with absloute certainty that i along with the majority of drug users will never try or use heroin, to say thats what will happen shows how much ingnorance you have, statistics prove otherwise, so 'believe me i know what i'm on about' is a complete bollocks statment.
There is no substantial evidence ecstatsy leads to long term mental problems, the 80's rave culture is yet to provide any such nutters and a recent publication in 'the new scientist' backs up my argument, yes a risk is involved, but compared to the known and provenrisks associated with things like alcohol, tobacco and fatty foods which are all risks people happily take everyday, the risks of recreational drugs become somewhat insignificant.
Alcohol is far greater evil than cannabis, i can't believe you indicate otherwise <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

Best advice: don't get a habit - apart from weed, 'cos that's less harmful than the rest (drink included).

So our telepathic ability to read your mind, and thus KNOW you were winding us up, by telling us you were winding us up in the first place, (bare with me here lol), has been permanently lost because of our use of drugs?
Also, the gateway theory is sux0r. People who are gonna try harder drugs like heroin are obviously going to try cannabis first. When you learned to swim, did you dive in at the deep end? Or when you were learning to ride your bike, did you start off on an adults bike without stablisers? Of course not. Not every one who tries cannabis will try hard drugs either. Before I tried cannabis I told myself I would only go so far as ecstacy, and never touch addictive drugs such as heroin - I have stuck by this, and maintain to have no desire to touch such drugs.
You probably got addicted to heroin etc., (if you evendid), because you have the willpower close to that of a smiley on this discussion board, perhaps the <IMG SRC="mad.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">. Aww look at him try so hard to stay away from heroin.
