I'm SO glad. It's about time they recognised that they have to be responsible about this. As a regular user myself it makes me feel a lot better to know that my government are acknowledging our needs and assuming a more protective rather than preventative stance.

Welcome to the modern age, I say.

I agree it is a far more sensible and hopefully successful way of trying to reduce drug related deaths. I admire those who have had the guts to take a stand for these changes, but I fear the reaction from those suseptable to scaremongering and ignorance of the issues. It's going to be a long hard fight still, I think.

Is there anything we can do to help? I was just wondering how I could support the campaign for a better drugs policy.

Write to David Blunkett, although you'd feel like it wastes time, if its well enough written and involves all the facts you will of made an impression, he wouldn't act upon it, it would take thousands possibly millions, but at least it would be doing a bit I've done it, got no reply, but at least he has heard my opinion be careful not to incriminate your self though

Also write to media sources, the sun, bbc, c4 and the police cheifs are all good ones to get at, although agin you may get no reply it influences people with a say in what goes on

I have never ever paid for water, I think the places that charge high prices for water are sick. Clubs do sad things- like making the taps so only hot water comes out, getting the staff to say that the tap water is undrinkable etc.

I have had all that and just said every time FFS I feel sick, I'm gonna faint, give me some water please or I'm gonna report you!

It's better for them to give out free water than have people fainting etc. But then I suppose the more drug orientated clubs make a lot less money from alcohol. I like ones with water fountains, you can meet many nice people while sharing a stream of water!

    Yeah, no shit.

Our government is ridiculous with club drugs. They tried to charge 2 rave promoters with distributing E because they were organizing a rave when they knew people would be selling E there! That's it, they weren't involved with the people selling or didn't endorse it. These guys are looking at 20 years.

Did you know that here E is classified as being as bad as heroin and methamphetamine, but somehow less dangerous than cocaine and morphine? Yeah, the US government makes a lot of sense.
