what do you do to cheer yourself up after a shit day?
suggestions please...

    i try to occupy myself. maybe meet a friend for a drink, or go for a swim and steam/sauna.
    find something good to watch on tv(which is very hard so maybe dvd?)
    buy a magazine
    something tasty to eat
    something nice to drink.
    I just try to do simple things that dont require too much thought/effort/energy to make me feel nicer.

    Yeah, always best to be around people - unless you're in an absolutely foul mood in which case you're maybe better chilling in your room for a bit with some well chosen music.

    Ranting about it on here helps too, strange as it might sound.

    peanut butter and chocolate, hugs, warm jumpers, audrey hepburn films, cuddles, reading Anais nin books, having baths, singing to in utero VERY loudly, making circuit boards, wearing heals round the house...baking...getting under the duvet...by this list i should be a very happy person...i don't get enough hugs and cuddles.

    Hearing your favorite song on the radio.
    Lying in bed listening to the rain outside whilst reading.
    Your favourite ice cream.

    Days off.
    Your favourite perfume.
    A bargain when shopping which is reduced even further.
    A pint of cider.

    if ive had a rubbish day then i generally stick a favourite dvd on, have a nice cup of tea/hot chocolate and generally have a bit of a laze.
    if my bad dad is completely unrelated to me feeling rubbish about my appearance/self esteem then i usually like to have a friend round to chat to as well. if im feeling crap about myself however that doesnt happen! i just like being on my own.
    i also 'sometimes' find that exercise helps! if its been a bad day and i can be bothered, i sometimes go for a good long swim :) always helps!

    Yeah totally.

    Sometimes if it's really bad then you need to be alone, but most of the time there is nothing worse than sitting around on your own thinking about whatever it is that's making you upset and wallowing in your misery.

    If I'm on my own, music or food will nearly always cheer me up a bit.

    Otherwise, other people. Even if they don't realise you're sad/down/upset or whatever, they can take your mind of it and give you a laugh.

    I like to be on my own if ive had a bit of a shit day and just listen to music, Dont really like to be around anybody cus i can get quite snappy if ive had a crap day and i dont like to take things out on people
