Ok this is in conjunction with "Weed is the Devil", so bare with me. Everyone seems to be saying the same thing over and over, your all agreeing with agreeing with eachother while repeating eachother. whats thats quote? 'dont underestimate the power of a group of stupid people". You didnt have many responses worth reading, to convince me that you actually have a good argument you should try writing one, writing tons of bullshit messages and making me read through them all looking for a reasonable one is just a childish tactic.
Ok first off, maybe I should have been more specific: when i say "gateway drug" Im referring to ILLEGAL drugs, so to the people talking about alcohol, cigarettes (and yes, some smartyass dipshits were even goin

Furthermore I Didnt mean to imply that EVERYONE who tries weed will go on to do cocaine and heroine. Im simply saying that cannabis in generally the first ILLEGAL drug people try, and that is especially tru in North America (We dont care for E). Ok, so a certain percentage of people will never go on to try another drug in their life, hell, some will never smoke weed again past their first time, but a thick chuck of people WILL go on to try mushrooms, acid, K, ect. Once you decide to break the law and smoke a blunt, once you get connected with drug dealers theres a damn good chance you'll end up at least experimenting with other drugs. So to say that Weed is not a gateway drug at all is an argument with little foundation, and just proves that indeed there is such a thing as a liberal bigot. <IMG alt="image" SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Another wee arse that sees hash as the source of all other drugs.
Its not the drug that leads people onto other drugs, its there will power that leads them onto other drugs so take your pointless pathetic excuse of an arguement to another forum where people dont blame themselves but the drug. I know 3 drug dealers, who deal all drugs. I dont take the drugs they sell nor does my other friend but we can sit in the same room and watch them sell the shit!!!
They also smoke weed and weed only, but sell everything thats because they have the will power to not take anything else. My other friends take E's only but are against hash!!! Explain that one smart arse, seeing how you think hash is the source to lead otheres on to other drugs!!!
Its not drugs that are the source of the problem its the people that decide to take them. They decided to take them and if they smoke weed and then go onto other drugs its not weed thats the fault its the persons will that is!!

that minorly tick me off because all theyre meant to do is make me look like a idiot. Alot of you people seem to avoid my point (fundamentally that weed is a gateway drug) by writing masses of messages which largly miss the original point, and all together dont really make much sense.

What do you mean by "gateway"? Is it that it is normaly the first ILLEGAL drug people try? if this is the case, then this is becuase it is the easiest to get hold off, so this makes an argument for legalization not keeping it illegal.
If however you mean that once you try cannabis you will try other drugs, this for the most part is true. This does however have nothing to do with cannabis its self but more to do with natural curiosity. Take for example when you were little and you took a ride on a little rollercoaster, after you had had a few rides, you wanted to try the bigger one. This is not because you were addicted to the adrenalin rush but just because you wanted the experiance, the same goes for most things and yes drugs are one of them. So what can we do about it? maybe if we changed the lables on drugs to those that are exeptable and those that are not but keeping it in line with public thinking. This way there would be a line between illegal drugs and those that are legal, not this gray area we have at the moment.

Regardless if its our curious nature which encourages us to do more drugs...pot is still the primary gateway drug. period.
