Our landline just rang .. and an 0800 number came up
08000517733
And a guy spoke quite quickly but sounded like a real person - but now I think about it could have been a really well timed recording of some sort
He said something like - this is Simon hubbard?? ... we got some really good news for you just call freephone 08000517733 .. then missed the next bit and ended with don't worry if you missed the number just dial 1471 to get the number
What do you guys think? scam or not? - it looks like a freephone number.

Hope that helps xx
Ha Ha, then you ring it ..lol
I'd ring it from a pay phone if there were any left near me ..
It does sound a bit like a scam though, I never trust anyone who calls now.

Are 0800 numbers free from a PAYG ?
Anyone passing a phone box give it a try ...
Depends some networks are free I believe while others charge.

OK, I'll do it.
It's a message telling you that you can claim back your bank charges for the last six years.
Well then now you've been enlightened.
Still, not sure I'd trust someone whose mother lived in a cupboard...

so don't waste your time with these people who are obviously trying to
make a fast buck.
08000s are generally no more expensive than 0800s
