    Im gonna leave it unplugged and try again later. theres no scratches on the disk so its the console.

    My mates 360 was playing up like that the other day. He left it for a couple of hours and it was fine though.

    not nothing, now it freezes when I begin a game. it sometimes freezes when I start it.

    well i dont actually have an xbox so i cant say much but itsnt there a way of doing some sort of hard reset on them?

    try contacting microsoft about it thats all i can say until another xbox user decides to help you out.

    Yeah that's exactly what happened to my mate aswell. As I said, he left his Xbox for a couple of hours and I think he washed the disc quickly and then it was working fine.

    How many of the four lights of the console ring are lit though. If it's three, then that is most definatley a hardware failure (the ring of death), and is usually terminal. See here for info - Clicky
