hey all- some mates of mine are thinking about taking speed...one of them is not sure about it but is being pushed into it by some people- what are the dangers of speed...and should I be as worried as I am about them taking it?

J, my mate hasn't really done serious amounts of drugs before, shes only done a bit of resin. She's a total lightweight and reacts pretty quicky to the smallest bit of resin- which is why i'm worried bout her. They're planning on doing it tomorrow- so haven't been able to talk any sense into them and looks like they're going ahead with it...Thanks anyway

Speed - ahh yes...

Like metioned if you don't want to snort it then either gum it or mix it with water, I like speed to be honest despite it being dirty and mixed with glucose and crap...

Tell them (if not too late) just to have 1/2 a gram to start with, if they snort it or mix it with water then they should start to feel the effects in about 2-10 minutes, they'll get rushy and egar off it and not want to sit still, it can make you dance your ass off for long periods so don't forget to drink water, you can urinate with it thankfully...

Warn them about mixing it with alcohol, cause speed causes the brain to release adrienaline you don't feel the effects of the alcohol as much and so can drink more without releasing it (until the following day)

The comedown off it can be a bit dodgy, with me I end up staying awake for about 36-48 hours and then sleep my ass off for about 14...

One way to extend or strengthen the effect or bring you back up is to drink champagne or sparkling wine, but again, refer back to what I said earlier about alcohol and be careful... <IMG alt="image" SRC="smile.gif" border="0">

Hmmmm...I used to love speed, especially when combined with huge amounts of beer.
BUT beware!!!!
It can be incredibly addictive, and way more destructive than heroin.
If you get some base (comes as a paste, smells like cat's piss), be even more careful, this stuff is POWERFUL.

Do it if you like, but beaware of the dangers.

And the comedown's a bitch...paranoia ahoy!

mmmmmmm speeeeed, great stuff, i love it. the only down side is that sometimes you start to chew and chew, in the morning your lips are a bit red raw, but apart from that i haven't found any down sides. the first time i did it i snorted it, but recently i've found it's best to make a bomb out of it and neck it. the first time i did it i did about 3/4g and loved it.

i used to be really bad on the stuff, it got to the point where i was 5 and 1/2 stone and looked a mess. i thought it was alright because i got to the stage where i could eat off it and i didnt think i was loosing that much weight. speed rots ur teeth and has the worst comedown ever. take it from someone who knows. dont bother!

Not keen on the stuff myself. I have reasons for needing to recover a bit quicker, and to be able to sleep a bit on the day after.

I have done a bit, went through a period where I did it most nights out for a while, but haven't for ages now.

Its nothing special... but is good if you need the energy.

how long does it take before you become addicted to speed?

is it propper addiction or and addiction to the buz?

not long!! the way it works is that, when you have it, it gives you a buzz, but what goes up must come down and when this starts you want more and more to stop u from coming down! dont get me wrong whizz does give you a top buzz but it also makes you paranoid, emotional, moody and absolutley knackered!! it can also lead to insomnia! <IMG alt="image" SRC="frown.gif" border="0">

I have refrained from answering to this for long enough.

In my opinion Speed is a dirty drug, that I will describe as a poor mans coke. The high is just more energy and you can drink like a trooper. thats the good points here are the bad it rots your teeth, makes your bone weak and bendy (if you take loads), the come down is horrible and makes me feel so dirty that I need to have loads of showers, you have to keep moving and chewing is a good example of this. I hate this drug and cant understand why people take it regualy.

My advice would be to stay well clear of it.
