how do you get tested for dyspraxia?

i've been talking to a lot of people, and i keep seeing things i do to be very similar to the "symptoms" (i don't really know if this is the correct word) as dyspraxia...how would i do about getting tested?

    Depends where you are.

    If you're in high school or college, learning support or disability services will probs do it or get you in touch with someone who will.

    If you're not at school/college, I'm stumped.

    I've been tested about once a year for the past 5 years (not by choice!) & yup, still got dyspraxia. Excessive, anyone?

    well, i went to the college disability people and they said that i have the potencial to have severe dyspraxia, and need further testing from an educational psycologist...

    not a learning dificulty but a learning difference :yes:

    Can your GP not test you for anything like this?

    GPs generally aren't the best people for learning type things because it's not their field of expertise.

    who bloody is?

    Ive found it a nightmare trying to get my son diagnosed. The School doctor thinks he is, but wont give an official diagnosis. the teachers think he is, SENCO think he is. The occupational therapist thinks he isnt.
    I think he is.

    Educational Pyschologist is usually the way to go.
