    urm used to be a big fan of Red hot chili peppers, their older stuff anyway

    apart from that love eighties/ early nineties, old school madonna, t-rex, roxette, beautiful south

    love garage as well and drum and bass the good old stuff with the heavy bassline :)

    any rush recommendations?

    i heard a lot that coheed are very simliar to rush and yes, love coheed but haven't really gotten into those other two (heard one or two songs but didnt like them a lot :/).

    yeah coheed are (were) amazing :D the old bassist and drummer left recently and i dont think theyll be the same anymore :(

    that rush song is pretty decent thunderstruck! sounded like ledzep in some parts lol... only one id heard before is 'roll the bones' which i thought was a bit crap.

    yeah they dont sound too much like them lol... not sure where the comparisons came from, guess it's just the weird singing style and the way the structure their music, not quite a spitting image :x

    i think coheed have some resemblence to rush. they reference rush with the song 21:13.

    i'd recommend the albums 2112 and Moving Pictures

    Subsource played at our student union for Fairtrade fortnight. They're live DnB/breaks and even have an electronic doublebass that they play with. They're incredible.... Friendly guys too.

    The Jam are very highly rated by me at the moment. Even if the songs are 25 years old some of the lyrics are highly relevent today!
