Had a letter from clinic today saying i need one. I know the basics of it.

Anyone had one ? Does it hurt ? Do you get anaesthetic ?

    They dont tend to give you an anaesthetic, but they my inject a bit of local in your back. You'll need to curl up into a ball so they can feel the spaces in your spine. I've seen plenty but never had one done myself, apparently it doesn't hurt too much, is supposd to just feel like a pushing sensation when the needle goes in, and then nothing when they re collecting the fluid. Depends on your pain threshold i suppose though :blush: Good luck :)

    Incidentally, normal CSF is apparently the colour of gin... why this particular spirit and not vodka, water, white rum etc, I have no idea.

    watch almost any episode of house, they are always doing them on there. ;)
