can anyone tell me does loves sickness actually exsist? is that strange feeling you get when youve finished a relationship love sickness or jusy our imagination?

    when you cant be with the person you love, you get an aching feeling in the pit of your stomach and just crave their company even more.

    when you think about someone, you get a hormone "high" in your brain (forgot which hormone). When you realise you can't get said person, the high goes, and you feel depressed (because your "addicted" to the hormone.

    As for butterflies, thats adrenalin.

    Isn't that hormone endorphines or pheromones?

    I'm not really a believer in lurve, I know I have had strong feelings for ppl before, but I don't think I've been lovesick.

    The best cure 4 love sickness is to avoid close relationships with ppl you fancy (works for me), get stuck into college work or whatever and spend time with your friends.

    I'm stuck in a dilemma @ the mo because two guys got the hots for me and I don't want to be in a relationship with anyone at the moment (or ever if my life goes to plan), I suppose I'm just a sad teenager who's life revolves around my work, I'm turning out like my Dad, which is scary! <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/eek.gif"&gt;

    I don't believe you have a choice as to whether or not you fall in love. If you could control that emotion there would be alot more happy people in the world.

    Yeah, it certainly does exist, im in a long distance relationship and only get to see my girl every other wkend and it hurts when im not with her. I sometimes feel exactly the same as gfm described.
