embarassing pain

Okay this is embarrassing but this morning i noticed that when i went for a wee i got a burning sensation towards the very end of it. I havent had sex yet but im worried it could be an STI ??? Or is it more likely to b a urine/bladder infection? thanks loads- xxx

    sounds exactly like cystitis, a bladder infection- such a pain! when i had it it i bought some special drinks from the chemist you can buy, these cleared it up, although i'd recommend going to the doctors if your not sure. then you'll no exactly what the problem is and they'll probably give you some antibiotics if cystitis is the problem. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

    If you haven't had sex before, it can't be a sexually transmitted infection - good news. The bad news is that nobody can give you a proper diagnosis by reading a post on a message board.

    It could be a number of different things: allergy, cystitis, chafing etc. Make an appointment to see your GP, you might need antibiotics if it's an infection.

    Mate, it sounds a lot like a bladder infection, if i was u i'd go to the doctor and get it sorted, or it could get worse.

    get it sorted out ASAP, as if it's a bladder infection, it'll just get worse and could spread to your kidneys which could lead to REALLY bad things. I personally think cystitis is the worst thing that could happen to you that doesn't put you in hospital or make you bleed, but that's my opinion - i get it badly! Good luck!

    and for the record, drinking cranberry juice can help prevent you getting it in the future...
