Uploading Large Files

Okay Many of you know i've got my own hosting and im unlimited for everything, the thing is i was trying to upload a 126MB File yesterday and it came up with some error and stopped
Anyone know how i can upload files to my hosting and able to view it? Its a .WMV File

    Check your FTP server logs, should give you a more detailed error. Also try turning off the firewall on your PC and see if that helps, you might want to try turning off the servers firewall as well if the your PC firewall makes no diff.

    And you say you want to view your .wmv, do you mean you want to be able to watch it online, ie streaming it?

    Nope no help there... There not even in a Format i know of...

    Is there anyway i can break it up and put it on and "stick it" together?

    i assume you accessed the raw logs, there should be some better logs , im with the same host so ill take a look myself

    cant find anything either, my guess is that they have restrictions on big file uploads so you dont REALLY pwn thier bandwidth, if i can find a big file ill give it a go myself

    i just tried uploading a 350mb file and it was uploading fine for me, seems to be a problem your end

    Okay Downloaded SmartFTP and messed with the settings made everything bigger, but it got to something like half way through and then said

    Transfur Complete
    Transfur Failed

    So im lost here...

    Do i need to increase something else?

    try using flashfxp to upload and if it doesnt work, check the logs on there.

    it looks like it is the host blocking large files tho, which is a bit shit.

    Unlimted just means that you've got more space than you need.

    What hosting panel are you using?


    Any way, disable your local firewall and see if that makes a diff.
