Right me and a few girl friends what to go away for my 18th bday. Want somewhere on the coast preferably, not big nightlife people, like to do stuff in the day, any ideas of where to go?

Blackpool? It does have a good night life, but if you're not into that, there's tons of things to do during the day. The theme park, the casinos, the tower, decent shopping and loads of touristy things. Bit tacky, mind.

    Cornwall :thumb:

When are you planning on going because if its between now and the spring which i'm guessing it probably is as you're asking now then it won't really be laying on the beach weather so maybe a big city by the coast would be better such as brighton/southampton.

It depends on how quiet you want it.

Whitby is fantastic, good pubs, good fudge, good fish and chips, and lots of "vampires" to laugh at.

    When are you going?

I went to Woolacombe, Devon with some girls from 6th form, had an amazing time.

Devon and Cornwall are both good. Dorset has the best coastline in the whole of England, but at this time of year that doesn't mean much.

If your going this time of year then i guess it wont be as nice but in the summer can be really good for a day at the beach :P. n surfing if you can.

I've seen those advertised, ever been?

I imagine they could be alright if well organised, all they mean by adult weekends is everyone is over 18.

    Brighton isn't bad.

Newquay is good, but not during the winter.
