Specifically the american/canadian style thick ones. Does anyone know the appropriate mix for them?

I know standard ones are 1 egg, half a pint of milk and 4 oz of plain flour so....?

The batter has to be slightly thicker for the Aerican ones rather then the standard thin ones. I usually make my batter with a bit more flour and then when im cooking them I put the mixture in the middle of the pan outwards rather than spreading them out to the edges of the pan.

Don't know if that make any sense, but there ya go.

I use 100g plain flour, one egg and 125ml water, 125ml milk. I sometimes put less milk/more water though, but always have 250ml liquid.

Add a bit of salt if you want and then some oil to cook them.

    Toss and serve :yum:

Well, contrary to katrella's belief, I do know how to make pancakes ;) (Well not to actually make them...)

Though, I ran downstairs to find out how, only to realize that http://www.hungryjack.com/products/product.aspx?catID=282&prodID=589 is how we make them.

Then I thought, oh, my dad makes great pancakes. I call him up, daddy, how do you make pancakes?

Yeah... so my suggestion would be go to the local grocery store and see if they have a box :p

Or, if you make waffles from scratch, just use that recipe, but don't put it in the waffle mamker. Maybe, when I make waffles I just use the pancake recipe... so maybe it can work opposite...

And finally... here are some recipes. Buttermilk pancakes are the way to go if you are going to have pancakes

i <3 Aunt Jemima - you can buy it over here I think - though I always have a ready supply from the states. Its great and you can make waffles with it as well. Sometimes when i'm feeling really bad I'll make pancakes for breakfast before i go to work mmmmm

This might be of some help.... you make the "big mix" and then use the mix to make the pancakes....
