Socks and shoes

Today I have bought my first pair of non sneakers (and flip flops) in probably a decade. Since sneakers is all I wear I own about 3700 pairs of thick white sports socks. And only that. My new shoes show your foot a bit, on the top... if that makes any sense. I'm not quite sure what to wear with them. I could always hope others would find me sexy sporting the white socks pouring out of the shoes, but probably not. Do I just wear some of those ankle/calf high panty hose (since they'll obviously be worn with pants) or what?

You could try trainer socks? TBH, I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.

just get some thinner ankle socks in whatever colour you like, or black if you are likely to lose odd socks, then you can always find a matching one.

How do I know what color? Can I sport some hot pink polka dot ones

Thank you so much. I can't do barefoot, I have mangly sweaty feet, I guess I should go out and buy a box of the hose then
