I've keep getting massive pains when I'm going to the toilet, does feel like I'm pissing out broken glass.
Sometimes afterwards it's absolute agony, like it's sore when I walk and stuff.
It come and gone for the last two years or so, sometimes I wont have it for months. I have been to the doctor in the past, he's said it seems like cystitis and he's recommended the usual, anti-biotics cranberry juice, powders etc, but they don't really seem to make a massive effect and it usually seems to last a week or two, no matter what I take.
Is it something that I'm just gonna have for life, or is there an operation or something, because it's fucking horrible

I was told to avoid rough sex! But I have read that using tampons can cause problems and I suppose wearing thongs/g-strings are probably not a good idea.
It does get worse a few days after sex, that's been two weeks ago and it's only really begging to calm down a little bit now. I did get tested for STI's for the last couple of years when it's come up (always seems to be worse round this time of year), and I've always been clean.
I also used to think it could have been a reaction to alcohol too and I've always stopped till it clears up, but it's been a couple of weeks since I've had a drink too
Most mornings its sore when I pee not agony like just pain and sounds like infection but then it goes away through out the day, anyone else had this??
It is worse first thing, dies down a wee bit during the day.
I get really bad knob throb from it too, I don't know if it's the blood vessels or something but it's bloody sore.
How long does it tend to last for, as in days/weeks?
few days then goes away i'm drinking loads, usuallyt ill about 10ish each day
