has anyone here (male or female, but im after mostly female opinion, since im a girly myself) ever used a buttplug? by this i mean, kinda to prepare yourself for anal sex? what did it feel like? painful, wierd? any advice on types (if there are types)?

    Yes. Come in all sorts of sizes, from small to frightening. Best to put it up yourself, and use plenty of lube.

    Me and my girlfriend have two (medium and Large) at home along with beads.
    She really likes the beads especailly if i attach a vib to it as well. The large plug has a small silver vib that get put into it. She's not that keen on the plugs at the moment as they are too large, so we're going to buy a couple of the thinner ones to start with.

    We just use them for the feel and a bit of fun. Guess they could be used for preparing for anal sex but as SCC say dont think thats their main use.

    Yep.

    Start with a very small one and work your way up (in size), obviously.

    If you use plenty of lube, insert it slowly, and don't try and insert a huge one before you're ready, you'll be fine.

    My boyfriend and I dabbled with them when we first got together a few months ago... and while I try to have a "never say never [again]" approach to anything sex-related, I will NEVER use them again :crying:

    He loves to use them, though, so I guess if they take your fancy you just have to try 'em and see. As SCC said, I don't think they're typically used as a precursor to anal sex, I certainly wouldn't employ them for that purpose.

    Make sure you get one that is properly earthed though.
