I normally play it safe in life - but today I took a huge risk (don't really want to say what it was - it was just career related) and failed, but once I got home I kinda felt empowered cos I took the risk
I felt at least I didn't left life walk by without taking a chance for something better ..
So what risks have you taken lately and did they pay off and if so or not - how did you feel afterwards?

I usually am quite sensible though, it's only really like when it comes to girls and feelings and shit I'll take a risk, I always listen to heart over head which doesn't do me many favours in the long run.
Yesterday i dyed some clothes. I had no idea if it would end up ruining them but it didnt.
A few weeks ago i just decided to move to a city where i know pretty much nobody, with no job waiting for me. Its all working out fine so far
In my second year of uni, instead of moving in with familiar people that i knew, i decided to risk it and move into a house with 3 people i had never met before. Im glad i did it, i met some great people.
I also recently took the risk of going into a relationship with a friend. So far im glad, but i might say differently if we come to a sticky end.
Last night i ate some chicken that was a bit pink, i couldnt not- it tasted so good! And its not made me ill so woo
Hmm...cant really think of much else. Although it does feel like a risk each time i go out in my car, theres some real twats on the roads.
Did you know, when gamling, there's a way to garuntee you'll win. Up the stakes every time. So, bet £5 and lose, you're £5 down. Bet £10... then if you win (assuming 50/50 chance) then you're £5 up. If you lose, you're £15 down. So bet £20! If you win, you're £5 up! According to the laws of probability, you gotta win sometime...
i havnt taken the risk yet but im gonna do so maybe that counts.
Im shitting myself majorly
lol interesting logic but i don't know of many gambling games that give 50/50 odds, think the casinos are one step ahead of you....
as far as taking risks goes, i was never much of a risktaker in my youth, then got into drugs and took some very stupid risks which i luckily never got caught for, took some hash in my pocket back on the plane from dam once but going on previous stunts that was a minor risk lol......
i think life is much more exciting if you take risks, ok maybe not illegal ones but most people play it safe and have pretty ordinary lives, but i want to have a fabulous life and i'm never gonna get there the safe way, for example i did a paraglide jump a few weeks back off the swiss alps where i had to throw myself off a mountain about 2km up, on the cable ride up and then looking down at the top i was like oh fuck what am i doing, but it was awesome in the end, memory will stay with me for life........as far as money goes i've just forked out £4k for a property mentorship program and taken out a £10k loan to finance the whole project, hopefully it will fast track me into real estate but i guess i will find out tomorrow........i don't think it's reckless though, it's a calculated risk, and there's a difference, doesn't mean i'm not shitting myself a little bit.....at the end of the day life's all about pushing your comfort boundaries, the only limits are in your mind and some people let it rule them, others push on to achieve great things, i know where i'm going.
It's a system played on the roulette wheel. Even placed bets (red/black, odd/even, high/low) There is a proper name for for this system though i can't remember it. Obviously it doesn't work as a. we'd all be millionaires and b.there wouldn't be any roulette wheels in casinos
:hyper: Ooh, how exciting!
Thankfully, it worked well! :yippe:
i keep being like 'right i'm gonna do this, dont care what my brain says, i'm gonna do it. then i don't'
going to uni on saturday though, hopefully the whole life change will make it easier.:thumb:
I don't think those rules apply cos the first, 2nd or thrird events aren't related to each other. Just vcos you lose the first time or 2nd don't mean eventually you'll win.
Maybe you're thinking of the laws of averages?
im going to uni to do maths, honest..
i live a very safe and boring life
and i'll probably never know if it was the best decision
my favourite sport is all about risk, surfing, its the decision whether or not to take a wave that could kill you and gives you the biggest natural buzz when you finish and look back at waht you just did!
