How do yo guys go on about adding people to your MSN? I mean I know how to but do you send them a message first asking something like 'is it alright for me to add you to my MSN?' or what?

    If your sending them a message, doesn't that mean you've already added them, making the question a bit silly?

    Are these people you know or randomm strangers? "Could, do you have an msn address?" work?

    Well it's what i have done in the past and speak to a few people from here on MSN.

    If you know them on the boards and what not i'm sure they will happily give you their addys. The worst that can happen is they say no so i'd just ask :) no harm done.

    If you already have their email address to enable you to add them then I guess they wouldn't be too shocked that you did so. Otherwise, just ask 'em :)

    I'd only add someone if they wrote me down their address and gave it to me, knowing I'd add them. If people make their MSN addresses public on a website, it seems like they're giving permission for anyone who can view the site to add them, so it's their own lookout!
    So add the person you want and then explain when you're both next online how you got their addy and why you want to talk to them? :yes:

    No, it's entirely possible to send a message to someone who's not on your list.

    I'd just ask them if they've got MSN.

    Have to say, I'm not really the type of person who'd get all wound up if somebody added me to MSN without my permission, but some people are I suppose :confused:

    I added people out of the blue and have been added that way. I even made friends through that.

    I don't think it's impolite. If the other one is not comfortable with it, he can just block out. How are you gonna be disgruntled for that? Some random stranger blocked you, so it occurs to you, as if it was a dickhead in the first place.
