Blue screen of Death with Matrox G450 and Windows 2003 Server

I've installed windows 2003 server and it works fine with my Matrox G450, using the built in Windows Graphics drivers, but they're not very good for playing Games or Video files, quite slow as high res and colour depth.
So downloaded the very latest drivers formthe Matrox wesite and upon restart I get the blue screen of death and it goes no further.
I keep having to restore to last good known configuration.
I've not updated the G450 to the latest BIOS, but same problem.. any ideas?
It's an AGP Card. And the blue screen mentions G400DHD.dll
