Yes its me again with more software questions!!

Whats the best backup software you use?

I cant answer because im looking for one:p

    Nero is usually enough tbh. Or windows explorer, depending on what media you're making the backup.

    It's possible to create .tar archives from windows? heh, I didn't know.

    I don't think any compression helps much though.

    I back up my entire O/S once a month with Acronis True Image. If something goes wrong and I am forced to reformat, all I do is restore my disk image and everything is back to the same state as when I created the image.

    You don't have to backup your entire disk, you can do what ever files/folders you want.

    Pipe it through gzip, or whichever flavour of compression you fancy that day :).

    You misread, I meant that nowadays compression isn't very helpful in backing up your hard drive.
