In my area, people tend to leave the pubs in their droves at 11.30pm. Most go quietly, but some hang around for hours vomiting and trying to chat up electric pylons.

Just as long as they don't throw their shoes over them.

That means the shit is about to go down, motherfuckers!

what you trying to say....he's a pisshead :p

I think its 11pm last orders and 20 mins to drink up. Having said that on many occasions we have still been in the pub at 11:45 ish......depends on wether you know the landlord. Also if you are being an obnoxious drunk then you will be out withing the 20 min drink up time.

Well, I saw one shoe left behind there when I walked past the following morning on my way to work. I daren't think whether the other was.

Only worry when the electric pylon comes to life and knocks you on the head.

So if there's a drug dealer nearby people throw shoes at pillars to let others know? Or do they get stoned and decide to throw shoes at pillars?

At my local it's at about 11:30 or 12:00 last orders on a saturday night, and they don't leave till half 1 / 2 o'clock. Although it is one of those pubs where anyone who walks out sober is the odd one out rather than the drunk.

Shame i've worked almost every saturday night for nearly a year :(

It depends on what license they have.

Normally you have about 20 minutes or so from whenever they ring the bell to drink up. You can tell when it's chucking out time when the staff start.. chucking people out.

Of course in a country pub it might not be exactly strict.

That's atrocious, if a barman here told me to leave the pub at 11 I'd slap him. Well not really but ya know what I mean. It's 2 am here usually, some pubs, which aren't strictly legal stay open to 5 and 6 in the morning in some cases.

20 minutes after last orders, or 30 minutes if you've had a meal. But it's usually until they've finished cleaning everything except for the table you're sitting at.
