Pissed off and ebay

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Someone has just decided to contact me tonight to tell me they never received the game i posted them on the 11th july which i emailed to say it was on the way and got proof of postage (which i am not sure Chris still has now as we assumed they would have contacted AGES ago to say if any probs).
Urgh what do you think i should do?
I can't really afford to offer a refund and tbh don't see why i should. Surely he should have contacted me way before this?

:banghead:

I personally wouldn't offer a refund, if it got lost in the post then tuff shit, nothing you can do about it. Did you give them a tracking number or anything?

He could be lying, actually have the game and by saying something like this, thinks you might believe him and give him his money back...

Forget it. Tell the buyer that you contacted them requesting confirmation of delivery and happiness with the product, but had no response. After waiting 14 days you assumed that you would have heard if there was a problem.

For future reference, keep all proofs of postage for at least 28 days. :)

I'd refuse a refund, although my small print always says Im not responsible for stuff that goes "missing". Offer to help them claim through Royal Mail, you'll soon find out if they're genuine or not.

Hes just told me that hes been away and only just collected the parcels from the post office, so i told him hes probably missed the time they keep them for them then, and that i was willing to dig out the proof of postage to help him try to claim from royal mail.
