I don't think there's a thread on this yet, so here we go.
This years nominations:
Artic Monkeys: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Editors: The Back Room
Guillemots: Through the Windowpane
Hot Chip: The Warning
I Campbell and M Lenegan: Ballad of The Broken Seas
Lou Rhodes: Beloved One
Muse: Black Holes and Revelations
Richard Hawley: Coles Corner
Scritti Politti: White Bread Black Beer
Sway: This Is My Demo
Thom Yorke: The Eraser
Zoe Rahman: Melting Pot
So, who do you want to win? Who do you think will win? Who do you think deserved a nomination and didn't get one?
I've only got the Thom Yorke album out of those, and I've only heard the Artic Monkeys and Editors ones other than that because I'm a cheap bastard, so I won't buy full price CD's. Thom Yorke's album is good, but it's not as good as Radiohead stuff, and for some unknown reason, they've never won it, so I don't reckon it will.
I'm gonna say that it'll be between Hot Chip (saw them on Jools Holland - very good) and The Guillemots, because both have had excellent reviews overall.

I like the Editors' album, but it'll more than likely be something I've never heard of that wins. Or worse...
(Thom Yorke - Wanker!
Arctic Monkeys - Hugely Overrated!
Muse - 70's Queen Rip-Off)
Nah I'd say that this muse album is a radiohead rip off!
I'd call it a cross between the two then. (RetroWank! - A Genre for the Noughties!)
In any case, I was decidedly underwhelmed when listening to it on the bus last week. I actually found myself turning the volume down in case anyone else could hear what I was listening to.
till i realised it sounded like britney spears
