    Not at all, Spuggie's a local hero. She worked on the perfume counter in Fenwicks for years when I was at school... spent many a Saturday terrorising the poor bugger.

    Byker Grove wasn't (isn't?) actually even filmed here, though. Twas on the other side of Newcastle. Fraudulent!

    The "Grove" was a real place (apparently used to be a pub and nightclub which was dodgy as fuck until the beeb bought it up) in a very dodgy area... but it's not in Byker, which is also a real place but at the opposite side of Newcastle. Just for confusion's sake :p
