Tooth problem

I had my bottom wisdom teeth out about three weeks ago, and overnight on Friday my lower jaw seems to have swelled up quite a bit on one side. The inside of my cheek has swollen up by the jaw line and its quite tender to the touch. I'm having trouble opening my jaw properly, but my jaw dosent actually hurt that much. Any ideas what it could be? If it hasnt gone down by tomorrow I'm going to have to try and get a dentists appointment, but they so hopeless I dont think I'll get one til at least wednesday.

    Cant you book an appointment as an emergency?

    Its swelling, where your gums had taken a beating they have swelled up. :)
