 :thumb: this is pretty conclusive. I especially enjoy no. 4.

You could always brush up on your Deutsch, or have some random craic with your fellow passengers... that always passes the time well.

Coach to Germany? Ouch! I had a bad enough time on a coach to London. But if you don't have the option of taking the train (by far the comfier option) I would pack a nice long book to read.

When I was travelling back from Berlin last year, we had to go on the ferry for about an hour. There was a girl who fell asleep and someone drew on her face...

When I was travelling to and from Berlin, I spent most of it sleeping, eating or listening to music.

Books on tape are always good, especially funny ones.

Plus, just to Germany! Pah, I went to Austria on a school trip when I was a kid and that was a clear 20 hours. Pansy.

Berlin was 24 hours for m last year, but we did stop in France, Belguim & Holland for food.

I reckon borrowing a laptop would be your best best. Download a few TV shows on there before you go. Bring a few DVD's. A couple of computer games. I reckon I could manage 15 hours on Rollercoaster Tycoon, The Sims or Footie Manager.
